Q: Why buy ‘Made to Order Furniture?
A: ‘Made to Order Furniture’ gives you the opportunity to contribute your personal tastes and ideas into the design process, and ultimately gives you exactly what you want.
Q: How is furniture sold in large retail stores any different to ‘elusive Furniture?
A: Most furniture sold in large retail stores is based on set budgets and mass turnover. Therefore quality in materials and workmanship can be over looked.
Q: How are other ‘Made to Order Furniture’ stores different to ‘elusive Furniture?
A: A good question. Although there may appear to be little difference, at ‘elusive Furniture’, we have over 20 years experience and guarantee all our work to be of a standard second to none. Our furniture is made to last from generation to generation. We also provide a follow on service to ensure you are happy with you new purchase and provide a ‘Care Pack’ which comes with every purchase, to help maintain the beautiful finish of your new piece.
Q: How long would I have to wait for my furniture?
A: “Once a design is agreed upon and a deposit is paid, the timber is ordered and your furniture start date is entered into our order book. Depending on the furniture (be it a coffee table or a whole bedroom suite), times vary but average between 2-5 weeks.
Q: What if I have my own timber, can it be used to make my furniture?
A: Yes it can. If it is suitable for the job then we would be happy to use it.
Q: What happens if my furniture is scratched or marked, how do I fix these?
A: With all our furniture sold, we include a “Care Pack”. By following the simple instructions, you are able to fix any scratches or marks on your furniture. Please note that deep scratches and dents will not disappear completely as the ‘Care Pack’ does not include magic filler, it is only intended to refresh the finish and further protect your furniture.
Q: How often do I need to refresh or care for my furniture?
A: We recommend the first treatment to be applied between 6-12 months, Depending on the location of the furniture. If in regular contact with sunlight, then this time frame would be advised. If a surface were frequently used, such as a tabletop, then every 12 months would be wise. These suggestions are only guidelines; the care of your furniture is entirely up to you.
Q: Can I choose a different timber for my furniture?
A: Yes you can, there are many different timbers available. We would be more than happy to discuss the options with you.
Q: What are the payment options?
A: You can pay by cheque or by bank deposit. No credit card payments are available at this time. On confirmation of order, a 50% deposit is required with the balance to be paid prior delivery.
